The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regards to the superior quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance position developed for intervention encounters a higher influx of opportunity website beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend sassa status to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
